September 2026: The Pause Before the First Bite

Dozens of dogs eating from bowls in a courtyard during September 2026 Rescue Paws feeding operations

The September photos are here.

Over 5,000,000 meals provided, by more than 100,000 people who decided to care. September is the newest chapter of that.

Some of these dogs have very good manners. Some of them do not. You will see.

How September Unfolded

Our local partners were out again, same as every month.

Food was loaded up and taken out to the same stops, on the routes the dogs have learned by heart.

At the bigger stops, it looked like this: a courtyard full of dogs, a bowl for almost everyone, and nobody in a hurry to leave.

Every piece of jewelry purchased from Rescue Paws helps us provide 10 meals to abandoned dogs. In September, our local partners went out the way they always do, one stop at a time.

The Pause Before The First Bite

Every dog owner knows this moment. You put the bowl down, you say "wait...", and for one second everything stops.

Then: "Okay, go ahead!" And they are off at full speed.

It is the same out there. The pause, then the switch.

Not Exactly Known For Their Table Manners

Some of the dogs on the routes eat slowly, one bite at a time. Others go head first into the bowl and do not come up until it is empty.

Nobody minds. At a feeding stop, there is room for slow eaters and fast ones.

A Long Drink, Side By Side

Not every picture this month is about food.

At one stop, two dogs shared a long drink of water, side by side, as if they had all the time in the world.

Every Single Day

These dogs do not need one meal. They need food every single day.

That is why the stops do not change, and why our local partners keep coming back to them. The food keeps coming back, and so do the dogs.

What Happens Next

October feeding operations are already underway.

The same routes. The same stops. The dogs who already know the schedule, and whoever new turns up this time.

If you want to be part of what comes next, every piece of jewelry helps us provide 10 meals to abandoned dogs.

Thank you for making this possible.

You helped our local partners keep showing up all month, for dogs who have no one else.

The ones who wait for "go ahead". The ones who forget their manners.

We are so proud of this community.
